NEW!!! VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM 2021
Message from Susan Reid regarding 15th Int. Lawrence Conf:
Dear colleagues and friends,
Given the continuing uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the 15th International D. H. Lawrence Conference in Taos, New Mexico another year until July 2022, which now seems a much more likely date for us to plan to gather together again in safety. Nanette Norris and Holly Laird will announce the new dates and other information shortly.
However, please keep the dates of 12-14 July 2021 in your calendars for a virtual symposium on the theme of ‘D. H. Lawrence, Distance and Proximity’. A series of online roundtables and workshops of short papers will be hosted on Zoom with no fee for registration and everyone is invited to attend any or all of the events, regardless of whether you are scheduled to present.
During this necessary intermission in the conference schedule, we aim to bring Lawrence scholars and enthusiasts from around the world into proximity with Lawrence and each other. Accordingly, the symposium will be scheduled to accommodate international time zones. We also aim to offer opportunities for online publication of papers as well as print publication of finished research.
Please see the opening call for workshop proposals attached and note the deadline of 28 February 2021. Please also share these details with your networks.
We hope to see you online or in person soon, but meanwhile, please continue to take care of yourselves and your families and friends during the ongoing health crisis.
With every good wish,
Sue
